RunCraft is an adaptive running coach that connects fitness, recent training, recovery and completed runs to help each runner decide what to do next.
RunCraft is an adaptive running coach for iPhone and Apple Watch. It combines VDOT-based paces with recent volume, completed sessions and recovery signals to build and adjust training toward a race or weekly routine. It guides each workout live, explains conservative changes, and lets runners report when they feel off even if the sensors do not. One-time purchase, no subscription.
Running apps tend to do one of two things: generate a training plan, or record the run you just finished. Very few connect the two — which leaves the runner holding the hardest question alone: given how that went, what should I do next?
RunCraft is built to answer it. VDOT provides evidence-based training paces, while recent volume and completed sessions keep the workload grounded in what the runner has actually done. Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and training balance can prompt a conservative change to today’s session; when those signals miss something, the runner can voluntarily report unusual fatigue, sore legs or feeling unwell. It is not a daily wellness questionnaire, and one report does not rewrite the whole plan.
RunCraft guides structured and open-goal workouts live on iPhone and Apple Watch, keeps both devices in sync, and brings GPS, pace, heart rate, perceived effort and weather together after the run. Longer-term readiness, training balance and VDOT trends then help explain what should come next.
RunCraft is an independent app for iPhone and Apple Watch. One-time purchase, no subscription. Health data is computed on device and synced privately through the runner's own iCloud.
Mars became a runner by invitation — friends signed up for a race and asked him to come along.
Training for it, he kept hitting the same gap. Some apps would generate a plan. Others would faithfully record the run he had just finished. Almost none connected the two and told him what to do next: the plan never reacted to the run, and the run never informed the plan.
RunCraft is the app he wanted during that first training block. He designs, builds, tests and supports it himself, and trains on the plans it produces.
